Moving doesn’t have to be hectic. Here are some handy moving tips to help you you’re your preparations so that everything goes smoothly on the big day.

Organisation
• Discuss how the move will be organised with Easy Movers. Inform the movers about valuable, breakable and heavy objects.
• Begin on time, pack a few moving boxes every day.
• Work systematically. Go through each room separately and use separate boxes for each room. This will keep everything easy to oversee.
• Make an inventory of the boxes in each room.
• Number each moving box and clearly mark which room the box must be put in the new location.
• Keep all keys, assembly tools and lists together in one box. This will enable you to start unpacking in an organised way once you have arrived.

Packing
• Use suitable boxes for your things and check that they are strong enough.
• The golden rule for choosing the right box: the heavier the object, the smaller the box.
• Fill boxes that are not totally full to the edge with padding material so that its contents cannot move about.
• Heavy objects should be on the bottom with lighter objects on top.
• Boxes must not be heavier than 20 kilos.
• Close all boxes properly and seal them with strong adhesive tape.
